In an interview to the New Yorker magazine Erick Schmidt stressed the key values of the Google company.
"The objective of this campaign is not to evaluate everything from the point of view of money. The objective is to change the world. We don't assign primary importance to getting a profit, we start by defining the problems that we are facing",- Erick Schmidt said.
The Google Chief Executive emphasized that the well-known corporate slogan "Don't do evil" doesn't mean the absolutely infallible moral position of the company.

The Google corporation has been given an award in media, communication and liberal arts. This is the way Spain appreciated the search engine that, according to the members of the contest jury, has revolutionized the concept of access to knowledge.

BlueCross BlueShield of Massachussets insurance Company signed an agreement with the Internet-service google Health. Now hundreds of millions of clients of the insurer will be able to view their own medical reports.
Google health Service started its work on May 20, 2008. It allows registered users to store different medical information as well as history of visits to medical institutions connected with insured accidents.

Hackers cracked the code of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs site, that was dedicated to reduction of crime rate and then sent a message inviting all the users to leave their passwords on the page in the name of the Italian bank.
It happened on Sunday, June 1st, so the site could carry on its work only in the morning of Monday. It is still not clear the exact number of people who could've become the victims of the fraudsters. According to the newspaper over several million people received phishing-letters.

Microsoft Corporation created a social network for its employees - TownSquare, The New York Times reports. The structure of TownSquare resembles that of another social network - Facebook, into which Microsoft invested 240 million dollars in 2007.
The users of TownSquare will be able to learn company's news, publish different information on personal pages, including their pictures, communicate with their colleagues. The social network also allows creating and editing of documents.

In 2007 the share of pirated software among individual users in China was 69%, reports The Inquirer with reference to the results of the research carried out by China Internet Lab company. In 2006 78% of the Chinese used pirated software.
As a result the general share of pirated software in China decreased from 63 to 56 percent.
